2016 Wexford Business Awards – Shortlist Announced

Innovation, resilience and an amazing appetite to drive business forward was the passport to being shortlisted in the 2016 Wexford Business Awards.

“Wexford and the South East is home to some of the most innovative and entrepreneurial business organisations in the country” said Pat Kenny, this year’s Guest MC.  “The Business Awards is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate this and to recognise the massive contribution that these businesses make to both the local and national economy. “

Awards and recognition by your community for a job very well done is a vital component of success.

In partnership with Wexford County Council, Environmental Protection Agency, Local Enterprise Office, South East Radio, People Newspaper and Wexford Chamber the Wexford Business Awards are once again on track for an amazing sell-out event.  Now in its 8th year, 150 applications have been submitted and each category has been populated by incredibly talented and successful businesses.

President of Wexford Chamber, Karl Fitzpatrick said ‘Having received a record number of applications this year, it’s evident that there is an eclectic mix of successful businesses operating across County Wexford and we look forward to profiling these during our Gala awards ceremony.”

Businesses shortlisted this year range from start-ups to family businesses and well-known companies including retailers, manufacturers, training providers, tourism operators and tech businesses.  This prestigious event attracts those with determination and energy who are prepared to join forces for an evening of celebration that recognises the excellence of Wexford.

Shortlisted finalists now prepare to make their presentations in person before an independent judging panel on Thursday, 21st April.  Judges are looking for positive leadership, sound business performance and growth, coupled with customer focus, staff engagement and a commitment to green business practices.
